The Captain. . . .
Born and raised in St. Mary's County on the Chesapeake Bay, Captain Phil has a passion for fishing & hunting, as well as years of experience. It's no wonder that he has developed a family charter business on the Bay. Come join Captain Phil and crew for a day or evening of fishing or cruising, and experience the best of the Bay! Fish and fishing techniques . . . Fishing the Chesapeake and rivers provide an assortment of options. The season opens in mid-April as large rockfish migrate in the Bay. May through October presents a mixture of fishing possibilities including chumming, bottom fishing, and jigging for trout, rockfish, bluefish, croakers and flounder. November and December round out the season as large fish are migrating back down the coast. Fishing license . . . We provide license, bait and tackle. Make-Up / Open Boat Charters . . . We have a variety of dates available for Make-Up Charters. To view our calendar and book online, please click here! Cast and Blast . . . Our cast and blast charter is a fishing and hunting combo! You'll need to have a Maryland 3-day license with State & Federal Stamps; bring your shotgun and steel shot shells; and dress appropriate for the weather! Departure time . . . Departure times vary based on season; for details 301-904-0935. Things to bring . . . Sunglasses, sunscreen, food/drink, cooler with ice for catch, comfortable boat shoes, and camera! Directions to the dock. . .
We are located at 50126 Dove Cove Road, Dameron, MD 20628 From Northern Virginia - Take 95 North across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Take 295, follow (bearing right) to Rt. 210 (Indian Head Highway). Stay on 210 for approximately 10 miles to Rt. 228. Turn left onto Rt. 228 and follow to Waldorf and the Rt. 301 intersection. Cross over 301, this puts you on Rt. 5 South. Continue south on Rt. 5 for approximately 25 miles. Rt. 5 will turn right at the Wawa, do not turn, continue straight on Rt. 235 for another 20 miles into Lexington Park. Stay on Rt. 235 South to Dameron (approximately 15 miles). Turn left on St. Jerome's Neck Road (just past the John Deere Dealer; Carroll's Equipment). Travel 3.6 miles along St. Jerome's Neck (bearing right at "T") to right on Dove Cove Rd (gravel). Follow Dove Cove to the end.
From Baltimore - Take 695 to Exit 4 (Rt. 97 South). Take Exit 7 to Rt. 3 South. Follow Rt. 3 until it joins Rt. 301 South (towards Richmond). Continue another 10 miles and pick up Rt. 4 South toward Prince Frederick. Continue approximately 40 miles, you will cross the Governor Thomas Johnson bridge near Solomons Island. After crossing the bridge, proceed another 5 miles to the Rt. 235 / Rt. 4 intersection. Turn left onto Rt. 235 South. proceed approximately 20 miles, staying on 235 to Dameron. Turn left on St. Jerome's Neck Road (just past the John Deere Dealer; Carroll's Equipment). Travel 3.6 miles along St. Jerome's Neck (bearing right at the "T") to right on Dove Cove Road (gravel road). Follow Dove Cove to the end. From Washington DC - Take beltway and exit at Rt. 4 (Pennsylvania Ave.) then follow the Baltimore directions or exit the beltway at 295 per the Northern VA directions. Another option is to exit the beltway to Rt. 5 (Branch Ave) South toward Waldorf. Rt. 5 merges with Rt. 301 just east of Waldorf, then turns left about half way through town (watch signs for Rt. 5 South). Continue south on Rt. 5 for approximately 25 miles. Rt. 5 will turn right at the Wawa, do not turn, continue straight on Rt. 235 for another 20 miles into Lexington Park. Stay on Rt. 235 South to Dameron (approximately 15 miles). Turn left on St. Jerome's Neck Road (just past the John Deere Dealer; Carroll's Equipment).
